The demand for nurses continues to grow and a number of career opportunities are available only to registered nurses (RNs) who hold Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees.

Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences offers a program through which RNs in Illinois, Missouri and Iowa can earn their BSN degree in 18 months completely online.  The College is holding five open houses for RNs interested in learning more about the program:

  • Monday, February 20: 11 am to 1 pm in Conference Room B on the lower level of Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. Enter through the hospital’s main doors at 11th and Spring Streets. A second session will be held from 4 to 6 pm just inside the College’s main entrance, adjacent to the Hospital’s main entrance.
  • Tuesday, February 21: 11 am to 1 pm in Conference Room B on the lower level of Blessing Hospital. Enter through the hospital’s main doors at 11th and Spring Streets. A second session will be held from 4 to 6 pm in Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences Classroom 110. Enter through the College’s main door, adjacent to the Hospital’s main entrance.
  • Thursday, February 23: 11 am- 1 pm, Conference Room B on the lower level of Blessing Hospital.

“The online program is more accessible and flexible than the RN-BSN program Blessing-Rieman offered previously,” said Ann O’Sullivan, MSN, RN, CNE, NE-BC, ANEF, Assistant Dean for Support Services and Associate Professor. “In addition to shortening the timeframe it takes to earn a BSN degree to 18 months, students will find that this program accepts more credit hours from Associate Degree programs than were transferrable in the past.”

“I would encourage RNs who have not looked at Blessing-Rieman’s RN-BSN program for a while to give it another look by attending an open house or calling us,” O’Sullivan concluded.

The Blessing-Rieman online RN-BSN program provides a laptop to all students for their educational needs, is taught by full-time PhD and Masters-prepared faculty, offers in-person and online personal academic advising and academic assistance with online library and Student Services.

No registration is required and RNs can stop by at any time an open house is being held.  Call 217-228-5520, ext. 6964, for more information.
