Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences has earned reaccreditation for two of its programs, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology (BSRT). College faculty and staff prepared extensive self-study reports about the programs followed by participating in on-site surveys by representatives from the accrediting bodies of the programs.
The MSN program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and was awarded a 10-year reaccreditation, the maximum for continuing accreditation. Officially recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency, the CCNE is an independent accrediting agency, contributing to the improvement of the public's health. CCNE ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate, and residency programs in nursing.
The BSRT program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and was awarded an 8-year reaccreditation. JRCERT is the only organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation for the accreditation of traditional and distance delivery programs in radiology. JRCERT promotes excellence in education through the application of professional standards that endorse academic integrity and quality, as well as exemplary healthcare.
“Accredited programs are a hallmark of institutional integrity. They signal to students, employers, and society that the education provided is not only current and competitive but also accountable to continuous quality improvement,” states Dr. Brenda Beshears, President/CEO of Blessing-Rieman College.
