Enrolling at BRCN

Priority of Admission to BRCN is in the order listed below:



  • Freshmen at QU and C-SC who meet the BRCN admission criteria.
  • Freshmen at QU and C-SC whose ACT is 19-21 on admission, and meet the BRCN admission criteria.
  • Freshmen at QU and C-SC whose ACT was 18 or below on admission, and now have an ACT of 19 or above.
  • Sophomore transfer students who meet the BRCN admission criteria.

I. High school students may be admitted as freshman nursing students if their ACT is 22 or above and their high school GPA is 3.0 or above. They will then be considered official nursing majors at the end of the freshman year if the following requirements are met:



  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5.
    Support course GPA of 2.5.

  • Completion of all the prerequisites and support courses for the sophomore nursing courses with a grade of C or better.

  • Completion of at least 24 hours of college credit.

  • Completion of the ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) (Taken at chosen partner school at the beginning of the fall semester).

II. High school students who have an ACT of 19-21 or a gpa below 3.0, may be admitted to our partner school as pre-nursing students if they meet their admission requirements.
They may then apply to the nursing major at the end of their freshman year, or any time after that, and will be considered for admission if the following requirements are met:



  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5.

  • Support course GPA of 2.5.

  • Completion of all the prerequisites and support courses for the sophomore nursing courses with a grade of C or better.

  • Completion of at least 24 hours of college credit.

  • Completion of the ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) (Taken at chosen partner school at the beginning of the fall semester).

III. High school students who have an ACT of 18 or below or a gpa below 3.0, may be admitted to our partner school as a conditional or undecided admission students if they meet their admission requirements.
They may then apply to the nursing major at the end of their freshman year, or any time after that, and will be considered for admission if the following requirements are met:



  • ACT of 19 or above.

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5.

  • Support course GPA of 2.5.

  • Completion of all the prerequisites and support courses for the sophomore nursing courses with a grade of C or better.

  • Completion of at least 24 hours of college credit.

  • Completion of the ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) (Taken at chosen partner school at the beginning of the fall semester).

IV. Transfer sophomore students may be admitted to the nursing major in the Fall of 2008 if the following requirements are met:



  • ACT of 19 or above.

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5.
    Support course GPA of 2.5.

  • Completion of all the prerequisites and support courses for the sophomore nursing courses with a grade of C or better.

  • Completion of at least 24 hours of college credit.

  • Completion of the ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) (Taken at chosen partner school at the beginning of the fall semester).

Curriculum Tracks

Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing has four curriculum tracks to earn the BSN degree. Please read the Program Catalog for complete details.


Basic Track
The basic track is for students who are:



  • Just out of high school.
  • Considering a new career.
  • Have no prior college credit, or less than 12 hours of credit to transfer.

Advanced Placement Track
The advanced placement track is for students who have:



  • A previous college degree (BA or BS).
  • Completed all of the general education and support course requirements for the degree.
  • Considering a new career.

LPN-BSN Track
The LPN-BSN Track is for students who have a:



  • Licensed Practice Nurse license.

RN-BSN Track
The RN-BSN Track is for students who have a:



  • Registered Nurse license.

BSN Admission Process
How to apply:



  • Print an application to send to us or fillout our Online Application.
  • Submit an official copy of your high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores if you have less than 24 college credit hours completed.
  • Submit official copies of transcripts from all colleges attended.
